The Seventy-Fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Co-op will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Notices will be sent out to members in April.

About Mount Pleasant Cooperative

The Co-op is a charitable organization, but is a taxable corporation, not a registered charity or a non-profit.  It is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.  It owns the properties at 2655 Main Street, 185 East 11th Avenue, and the 11th Avenue parking lot.  The income of the Co-op is earned by leasing these properties.

The Co-op uses its income to maintain the properties and to support organizations such as Mount Pleasant Branch 177 Royal Canadian Legion, fifteen local schools, various cadet groups, and many other charitable organizations.  No dividends are paid to shareholders.  See the annual reports of donations made, under Donations in the navigation menu.

 We have lost contact with many of our shareholders, because they have moved without updating their contact information, or they have passed away and their heirs were unaware of their share in the Co-op.

 If you think you are a shareholder, or perhaps one of your parents is a shareholder, please contact us.

If you know you are a shareholder, and would like to receive your information from us by e-mail instead of by postal mail, please send us an e-mail to let us know.

It is important that we have full contact information for shareholders and their beneficiaries.  If you think your beneficiary information is not up to date, please download the beneficiary form from our Forms page (link below), complete and sign the form, and send it to us by e-mail, fax or postal mail.

The Co-op does not have regular office hours, as this does not seem to be necessary.  Our phone has voice mail which is sent to us by email, and we can arrange for someone to be in the office if you need to meet with someone.
